resina® introduces visionary multi-function on-line inspection system for caps, labels, and outserts

The Visionary Multi-Function On-Line Inspection System, new from Resina West, simultaneously inspects for a variety of empty or filled containers defects. Its multi-function capability allows for 100% inspection for defects, including containers with missing, cocked (skewed) or “high” caps, and it can also inspect for fill level, crocked or missing labels, presence of outserts, and missing foil liners. In conjunction with reject systems, the Visionary Inspection System assures that only containers meeting specifications will reach the end of a production line. The “C” frame design allows this unit to be installed on almost any existing production line.

Using the latest technology in image acquisition, the Visionary Inspection System rapidly evaluates each acquired container image and determines whether the container is within the established parameters and tolerances as programmed. Pre-set consecutive defects will activate an alarm. The Visionary’s optional reject verification system is also able to signal the reject system to shut the line down if defective containers are not removed.

In addition to detecting containers with missing, cocked or high caps, the exceptional accuracy of the digitized measurement technology used in the Visionary On-Line Inspection System will detect containers where the cap is insufficiently torqued. Programming is simple with a handheld controller, and the Visionary can be programmed to inspect for defects in fill level, labels and outserts; addition of an optional sensor allows the Visionary to inspect for missing foil liners.

A variety of reject systems can be activated by signal from the Visionary Inspection System. For small light containers, a small air jet can be used; for heavier items a pneumatic cylinder or solenoid-based system is utilized. For large heavy containers or fast moving lines, a diverter type of reject system will gently remove defective containers without spillage.

Quick changeover between container sizes is easy and fast with a "NO TOOLS" hand wheel adjustment system. All stainless steel construction prepares the Visionary Inspection System for use in rugged production and filling environments.

Resina® Introduces the LARGE Cap solution

Resina® will introduce the latest in capping innovation. Capper capable of applying over 150 large (120mm) caps reliably, with consistent torque. New “State-of-the-Art” design, utilizing the latest in electronic & pneumatic controls with improved capabilities to apply these large caps.

Accurate and repeatable torque requires quill speed and quill pressure control. Innovative new technique for pressure regulation and speed control is the main feature of this new design. The capper utilizes the latest in PLC controls with Touch screen type HMI (interface).
